Reports said on Tuesday that New Zealand Cricket was being tempted with a whopping US$1million offer to release dashing wicket-keeper Brandon McCullum for the Indian Premier League just for a semi-final appearance.

McCullum has already made an impact in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders with a blazing 73-ball 158 and is presently in England for the Test series.

However, reports said moves are on to summon McCullum, between the second and third England Tests, to play for Kolkata in the semi-final, subject to the team’s qualification.
