Prolific Australian opener Matthew Hayden might miss the opening Test against West Indies in Jamaica due to ankle injury.
Hayden sat out of the tour match against Jamaican XI.Brad Hodge, who featured in the IPL and was roped in as a cover for Michael Clarke, could be the surprise replacement as there is a possibility that Simon Katich may be pushed up as an opener.
Hayden was not complaining of any injury when he joined the camp after four IPL games for Chennai Super Kings, but an overload on his body following a long summer back home, seemed to be the reason for his injury.
