Tremlett's Selection Could Boost England's Chances In The Second Test At Old Trafford From Friday

England may have been disappointed by the drawn result against New Zealand at Lord's, but the induction of Hampshire seamer Chris Tremlett for the second Test at Old Trafford will keep the hosts in good stead due to the bouncy nature of the track.

Tremlett comes in for injured Yorkshire paceman Matthew Hoggard, who has broken his finger in a county game against Durham and missed out for the rest of the Kiwi series.

"Chris is a player whose form we have been closely monitoring for some time," national selector Geoff Miller was quoted as saying to BBC Sport.
