Controversial Australian umpire Darrell Hair has quit from the elite panel of International Cricket Council (ICC).
Reports of Hair quitting as an elite panel umpire appeared on 'The Australian' newspaper's website (www.theaustralian.news.com.au).
As per the website,Hair decided to resign to take up a position as executive officer of the New South Wales Umpires and Scorers Association.
Despite being removed from the ICC panel in 2006 following the controversial Oval Test, Hair was again reinstated in his position earlier in April this year. Hair officiated the two Tests involving England and New Zealand.
