Bangalore Royal Challengers owner Vijay Mallya today revealed that captain Rahul Dravid and ex-CEO Charu Sharma never allowed him to okay his list of players for the Indian Premier League and lamented the present bottom position of his team in the competition.
Mallya said he was not at happy with the squad he got for the IPL after pundits had labelled the selection as a Test team in Twenty20 jersey.
"I had my own list (of players) but the fact is Rahul Dravid and Charu Sharma had their own list and at the end of the day, I decided to take the back seat," Mallya was quoted as saying to NDTV.
"I was very tempted to bid for players whom I wanted but they held me back. Obviously things have turned out differently," Mallya added.
