Bangalore Royal Challengers resorted to hara-kiri as they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory to lose their IPL encounter against Chennai Super Kings by 13 runs in Bangalore today.

Bangalore were set to chase 179 for victory and at one stage were cruising along at 127-2 with just over 50 runs needed with less than six overs to go. Some inexpicable batting left them with no choice but to gift Chennai with their fourth victory.

Earlier,skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored a blazing 65 as Chennai Super Kings raised 178-5 in 20 overs.

Chennai, who had won all their three matches before today's narrow win, elected to bat first after winning the toss.
