Skipper Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir smashed quick fifties as Delhi Daredevils raced to an eight-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings in the IPL tonight in Chennai.

Chennai succumbed to the duo's onslaught as the two raised 115 for the opening wicket in 68 balls as Sehwag made 71 off 41 balls with seven fours and four sixes while Gambhir, who made 50, also played the support role to perfection.

Chennai today suffered their first defeat of the tournament as they earlier rode on S Vidyut's 37-ball 54 to reach 169-6.

But Delhi ensured that the target was reached with six balls to spare.
