Departure Of Overseas Players Will Not Affect The Team, Says Delhi Daredevil Skipper Virender Sehwag
Delhi Daredevils’ captain Virender Sehwag said on Saturday that his team wouldn’t be affected much by the departure of foreign players for national duty.
Sehwag, who scored a blazing 71 off 41 balls to lead his team to a convincing eight-wicket win over IPL’s undefeated team Chennai on Friday said: "We were under pressure before the match. They (Super Kings) were the unbeaten side, but once we restricted them to less than 170 we knew it was chaseable on a flat track like we have today. It (the chase) was also a lot more easier with Gambhir batting so well."
"It was a good track to play shots. There was bounce, the ball was coming on to the bat. I was hitting the ball well, playing my shots. They tried to bowl nearer my body but I was on song," Sehwag was quoted as saying to PTI.
"Our local players are doing well. Then we have (Glenn) McGrath, Mohd. Asif bowling well though Daniel Vettori will have to go, we are not going to be affected much," Veeru added.
