South African Haroon Lorgat has been appointed ICC's chief executive officer as he will take over from Malcolm Speed, who steps down in July.

The 47-year-old, who was former convenor of selectors in South Africa, was favourite to replace Speed once fellow South African Imtiaz Patel had turned down the offer.
