India Peg Back South Africa To 175-4 At Tea On Day 1 Of Kanpur Test

South Africa progess to 175-4 at tea on day one of the third and final Test against India at Kanpur on Friday.

South Africa, who chose to bat first, made 80-1 at lunch and lost three wickets in the post-tea session as Graeme Smith (69), Hashim Amla (51) and Jacques Kallis (1) were the batsmen out.

Yuvraj Singh broke the Smith-Amla partnership at 152 as he had the South African skipper caught at short-leg. Soon after, two more wickets were lost as it was Amla who was bowled by Ishant Sharma and then Harbhajan Singh claimed the prize scalpe of Kallis.
