Opener Salman Butt top-scored with 75 as Pakistan beat Bangladesh by seven wickets on D/L method after being set a revsied target of 158 in 25 overs in the second one-day international at Faisalabad on Friday.

Pakistan reached 160-3 in 23.2 overs to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Rain-interruption halted Bangladesh's first innings on 225/8 (48.2 overs) after the visitors chose to bat first.

Opener Tamim Iqbal (60) and Mohammad Mahmudullah (58 no) were the top contributors for Bangladesh.

Shahid Afridi (3-33), Sohail Tanvir (2-36) and Rao Iftikhar (2-34) were the chief wicket-takers for Pakistan.

The hosts never looked in trouble once Butt and Nasir Jamshed (21) had added 46 for the opening wicket. Younus Khan made 13 as Pakistan were 78-2 in the 13th over, but Butt and Mohammad Yousuf, who scored a century in the previous match, added 73 for the third wicket to ensure that Bangladesh had not chace of stopping them.

Butt was run out when 7 runs were needed for victory, but Yousuf with an unbeaten 32 ensured that Pakistan won with 10 balls to spare.
