Delhi Daredevils beat Deccan Chargers by 12 runs in the Indian Premier League tie at New Delhi on Thursday.

Delhi's reply with the ball after scoring 194-4 was led by leg-spinner A Mishra, who not only returned splendid figures of 5-17, but also took a hat-trick off the final over to win the match for his team.

Earlier, Hyderabad decided to field first but despite removing the dangerous Sehwag for naught, Delhi recovered through Gautam Gambhir (79) and Shikar Dhawan (68no) to post 194.

Hyderabad's reply seemed sound as Gilchrist (14), Afridi (33), Gibbs (22), Sharma (35) and Venugopal Rao (34) and Scott Styris (29) all chipped in with solid scores. However, with 15 needed off the final over, Mishra did the damage with a hat-trick as Hyderabad managed to score only 2 runs at the expense of 3 wickets.
