Australia To Tour Pakistan Twice In The Next Two Years – ODI And Test Series Planned In 2009,2010
Australia will visit Pakistan twice in the next two years to compensate for the postponement of their Test and One-Day series, which was scheduled in March this year, due to security fears.
As per reports Cricket Australia (CA) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have agreed on the proposed itinerary for 2009 and 2010.
As per the new agreement between the two boards, Australia would tour Pakistan in 2009 April and May or five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match and again in August and September 2010 for a three-Test series.
"Although disappointed that the tour couldn't be completed as originally scheduled, the PCB is very pleased that the Australian team will come to play in Pakistan twice, in 2009 and again in 2010," PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf was quoted as saying to Reuters, in a statement.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will tour Australia for three Tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 contest in 2009-2010.
