ICC Should Adjust IPL In Its Cricket Calendar, Says Team India’s ODI Skipper M S Dhoni
Team India’s one-day skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has said that the International Cricket Council (ICC) needs to adjust IPL in its cricket calendar or else it may force cricketers to seek premature retirements from international cricket.
"They will need to take this decision otherwise we may have a situation where cricketers will prefer retirement," Dhoni was quoted as saying to Times of India.
Dhoni believes there was nothing wrong in players making money by playing in the IPL as in some countries the players did not earn big money.
"A player has to think about his future too. They need money to maintain a decent lifestyle later in their lives," Dhoni said.
"Players know it very well that money will flow only if they do well in the game," Dhoni, who is leading the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL said.
