Mumbai Indians staged a spirited bowling display and then returned a good batting performance to beat table-toppers Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets to win their third successive match in the IPL match in Mumbai.

Mumbai were chasing a modest score of 104, which they managed to achieve in 15 overs. Robin Uthappa top-scored with an unbeaten 34.

Mumbai's decision to field first was vindicated as their bowlers made the Rajasthan batsmen struggle and bowled them out for 103 in 16.2 overs.

Left arm fast bowler Ashish Nehra was the pick of Mumbai bowlers, picking 3-13 while Kulkarni and Raje claimed 2 wickets each and captain Shaun Pollock returned 1 wicket.

Opener Swapnil Asnodkar was the top-scorer for Rajasthan with 39 while Shane Watson made 32 as the duo was the only one to enter double figures in an otherwise insipd batting display by the Royals.
