‘Retired’ Shaun Tait Back With Australia For Training Camp
Despite a shocking announcement in January that he had taken an indefinite break from cricket, Australian express bowler Shaun Tait is back training for his country in Brisbane to prepare for their tour of the West Indies later this month.
Tait was a surprise participant at the 15-man Test squad's five-day training camp as he was invited to take part in the camp for the first two days after meeting Cricket Australia selectors and officials for a briefing on his new contract after returning from a trip overseas, AAP reported.
“There was a while there I thought, 'I hate cricket, I don't want to play any more',” Tait was quoted as saying in March.
“The one big thing I have learnt about myself is I do enjoy cricket. It is a part of my life and will be a part of my life for the future,” the quick bowler said.
