The Delhi Daredevils' captain Virender Sehwag was bemused by the stone pelting episode during Thursday's IPL match against Deccan Chargers.

Sehwag was the target of incident despite being the local boy on his home ground in Delhi.

The dashing opener, who has scored two back to back ducks, expressed his displeasure over the crowd's attitude.

"It was very shameful on their (crowd) part. I can never expect that the Delhi crowd will do such a shameful act to their home team," Sehwag was quoted as saying to PTI.

"It was thrown at Virender Sehwag," he himself added.
