County champions Sussex have been given the green signal to allow veteran leg spinner Musthaq Ahmed to play for them this season.

The former Pakistan spinner has agreed to play in the rebel Indian Cricket League and Sussex were worried that Mushtaq's county prospects could be hampered.

However, Sussex received a second 'No Objection Certificate' which is required to fulfil England and Wales Cricket Board registration requirements, the BBC Sport reported.
