Talent Not Age Matters In Twenty20: Tendulkar

Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar today said that talent not age matters in Twenty20 cricket.

Tendulkar’s IPL franchise is going great guns at the moment and having registered their fifth win on the trot, the Mumbai Indians are fourth in the list and are well on course to gain a semis berth.

The maestro, who is yet to register a good score after his comeback into the IPL fold said: “I need to just spend some time in the middle and find the middle not the edge of the blade.”

Tendulkar’s IPL debut match against Chennai yielded 12 and today against Kolkata he scored a duck, falling to his old rival Shoaib Akhtar.

But the maestro, who has now led his team to two consecutive victories and carried on from where Pollock had lifted the team from the dumps with three wins on the trot, said: “Pollock and Jayasuriya are both 35 plus but they have proven today that Twenty20 is not only for youngsters. If there is talent, age does not matter.”
