Tendulkar Has Played Only One Twenty20 International

Master batsman Sachin Tendulkar may have entertained millions with his incredible batting at the Test and one-day level, but with only one Twenty20 international against his name so far, the Mumbai star will be keen to make a memorable debut in the IPL on Wednesday when his team Mumbai Indians meets Chennai Super Kings.

Tendulkar's only T20 appearance was against South Africa at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg played on December 1.

India won that match by 6 wickets, with 1 ball remaining, but Tendulkar managed to score only 10 off 12 balls before being bowled by Charles Langeveldt.

Tendulkar also picked up one wicket in that match.

The maestro did not feature in the World Twenty20 Cup in South Africa last year which India won under M S Dhoni's leadership. He is now set to make his IPL debut against Chennai and it will be only be his second Twenty20 match since the Johannesburg tie.

Earlier this year, Tendulkar was in the squad for the one-off T20 match against Australia in Melbourne, but did not play that match. India were comprehensively beaten in that match.
