Despite his association with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL) the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has reportedly approved the registration of former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie to play for Glamorgan this county season.

Glamorgan have been boosted by Gillespie's availability as there were fears that his involvement in the ICL would prevent him from playing county cricket.

Gillespie shall now be able to debut in the Championship match with Middlesex at Lord's on April 23, the BBC Sport reported.

The 32-year-old Australian has taken 259 wickets in 71 Tests for Australia.
