Yusuf Pathan stroked a 37-ball 68 as Rajasthan Royals defeated Deccan Chargers Hyderabad by eight wickets in the Indian Premier League at Jaipur on Friday.

Earlier, Adam Gilchrist stole the show with an entertaining 61 but Hyderabad posted only 140-8 in their 20 overs only to be overhauled by their rivals in 16 overs.

Pathan's 68 and Graeme Smith's 40 set the tone for the Rajasthan chase as the duo were involved in an opening partnership of 109 off 76 to pave the way for an easy win.

RP Singh and Ojha were the only bowlers to take wickets for Deccan Chargers.

For Rajasthan, skipper Shane Warne topped the bowling chart with 2 for 20 while Shane Watson, Yusuf Pathan, S Trivedi and Munaf Patel all claimed 1 wicket apiece.

Yusuf Pathan was named the man of the match.
